Makeup looks you need to try

While we have spent most parts of the year cooped up at our homes, these fun  clean makeup looks are sure to take you places. As Diwali fast approaches, keep these beauti tips and tricks handy to make sure that your makeup shines through the festive glow! From all the festive looks we scanned for you, five of these stood out. So start taking notes as we delve into the nitty-gritty of each look:

Ace the no-makeup makeup look!

Is it weird that we want to apply makeup… that looks like we’re not wearing any? Not if you ask us, makeup is a tool for self-expression and you’re free to use it as you please. The 2020 sponsored existential beauty crisis aside, the off-duty model, no makeup vibes are here to stay. To start with, indulge in some skin prep. Use a hydrating face mask before applying makeup to make sure the skin feels supple and moisturized. A primer is prime to get a smooth base! Steer clear of thick, full coverage foundations for this look and opt for a natural foundation or compact instead based on your skin type. Tinted moisturizers, BB and CC creams will help give your skin some extra hydration and still allow some of your freckles, redness, and imperfections to shine through.
If you’re not willing to let your blemishes or dark circles go uncovered, use a lightweight, hydrating concealer. Blend with your fingers if not a blending brush – the warmth of your skin makes the product blend right in! Add some blush to the apples of the cheeks, up onto the temples, and right on the bridge of the nose. Then add a  to the mix, highlighters  help the contours of your face catch the light and even without blush they can help complete a no makeup look. Throw in a nude lipstick and you’re good to go! (recommends nutmeg for our dusky beauties and sandy mauve for those with lighter skin tones in the Non-stop Airy Matte Liquid lip range)
Adding a nice dewiness to the tops of the cheekbones can go a long way in making your face look natural yet glowy. There’s something about natural-looking makeup that is so raw while adding refinement, right?

Let’s play with makeup that makes you blush!

Blush is and will always be our very own cherry-on-top when it comes to makeup. It is all it takes to create a certified makeup look with a single product and our fingertips. Blush is makeup minimalism at its finest and—dare we say—prettiest.

For anyone who thought blush was just for cheeks, start by dabbing your blush on the apples of your cheeks, then extend the colour up under your eyes and lightly across your nose to see the magic unfold!

This blush look sits below the cheekbones giving you that truly flustered-in-a-cute-but-not-sweaty-way look. You can also tap a cream blush on to the apples of your cheeks with your fingers – this will keep the colour looking bright.

Perfecting that Pout!

Let’s admit it! Not everyone is blessed with a perfect pout. But, by mastering a few of these clever beauty tricks and you’ll be good to go…

Dry and dead skin on the lips is what brings your pout game down. Precisely why, you should exfoliate before applying any product on your lips.

Line your lips with a lipstick liner before applying any lipstick if you like – pssst don’t cringe, the 90’s lip liner look might just be making a comeback. Since it’s Diwali, pick a bright colour from our range of lipsticks (Kiro recommends if your skin tone is dusky . if you’re light skinned  and spread it evenly on your lips covering the corners of your mouth, wait for it to dry for a few seconds. And there’s that picture-perfect pout!

Go ethic with a simple yet sophisticated look!

When it comes to ethnic makeup it is difficult to determine how much is too much? You don’t want your makeup to be too loud, in a way it overpowers your outfit, nor do you want it to be too mellow, such that it underplays the look altogether.

So our suggestion would be to opt for a subtly bright Kiro lipstick (Kiro recommends our in the Non-Stop Airy Matte Liquid Lip), not skip on the Kiro definitely add a matching bindi, wing those eyes with our eyeliner pencil and balance the look with our  and our Glow of your choice. That’s it. You and your makeup are festive-ready!

While we wish for fun-filled celebrations in good spirit, don’t forget your mask and sanitizers no matter where you go. Because safety first! Have a safe and blessed festive season ahead…
